Neurotoxin Injections

Neurotoxins like Xeomin, Botox, and Jeuveau are popular injectable treatments designed to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines by blocking nerve signals to targeted muscles. Xeomin, which is very similar to Botox and Jeuveau, works by relaxing these muscles, resulting in a smoother and more youthful complexion. Patients opting for Xeomin can expect noticeable wrinkle reduction, as this neurotoxin effectively reduces muscle activity to create a rejuvenated look. These treatments offer a safe and effective way to achieve a fresher, more youthful appearance.

What is Xeomin

Xeomin is an advanced, form of Botox that works just like Botox by relaxing target muscles to reduce wrinkles and fine lines. Xeomin treatments can last 3-4 months exactly like Botox, Dysport and Jeuveau.

Learn more about Xeomin

Xeomin is made by Merz Pharmaceuticals, and is an FDA approved, safe and proven injectable treatment to erase signs of aging. It is used to target Crow’s Feet, forehead wrinkles, and vertical frown lines in addition to many other areas. Xeomin has been proven to be more stable and therefore can even last longer than leading brands.

How does Xeomin work?

Xeomin is an injectable neurotoxin treatment that works similarly to Botox and Dysport – they are all designed to relax target muscles to smooth out wrinkles, lines, and creases caused by aging. Xeomin, Botox, and Dysport all share the same active ingredient, botulinum toxin A . The main difference between Xeomin and other products is that there are no crowding proteins around the active ingredient which allows a more gradual, gentle onset and better stability.

Is Xeomin right for me?

Xeomin can be used with any skin type and the benefits enjoyed by both men and women concerned with deep wrinkles, forehead creases, frown lines, neck bands, and other signs of aging on the face and neck. Treatment is recommended once you see early signs of stubborn aging for most effective results. Xeomin is a proven treatment that brings satisfaction and success to patients seeking long lasting, smoothed, and lifted skin

What to expect before your treatment?

You will begin with a consultation by our provider at REVIVE Regenerative Aesthetics, in Roseburg, OR. We will begin by getting to know you and gain an understanding of what your treatment goals are, discuss realistic expectations, risks, and benefits, and then decide what treatments are best for you. We will explain the procedure and what you should expect based on your individualized treatment plan.

What to expect during your treatment?

Appointments are relatively short, as the actual injections take only a few minutes to complete. Do not worry, the injections are generally painless – just minor pokes. Very minimal bleeding and swelling may occur which will be mitigated by applying gentle pressure over the treated area.

What to expect after your treatment?

You can expect your wrinkles to lighten up with Xeomin in as early as 3 to 4 days. Because Xeomin has been researched to be the most stable form of botulinum toxin A . This lends to a a more gentle, gradual, forgiving release into your targeted muscles. Your true results can take up to 2 weeks to settle in. Minor redness or small bumps may occur at the site of injections but should quickly resolve. Because Xeomin has greater stability than Botox, it allows it to last longer before needing a touch up. After treatment with neuromodulators, patients should avoid exercising for at least 6 hours following treatment and should remain vertical for 2 to 4 hours. This will allow the product to settle in properly. We also recommend not massaging the treated area.

What results can you expect from your treatment at REVIVE Regenerative Aesthetics?

You can expect a smooth and successful resolution of fine lines and targeted wrinkles quickly. Many clients find that with repeated use, results begin to last even longer.

Any other risks based on the individual would be discussed and evaluated during your consultation.

Why should I choose Xeomin over Botox?

Botox and Xeomin are similar – they have the same exact active ingredient and are used for the same treatment purposes. However, Xeomin is the less resistant form of Botox. Xeomin consists of isolated botulinum toxin A, while Botox is this active ingredient with additional proteins attached to it. The stability factor of Xeomin allows treatments to last 3-6 months, while Botox typically lasts 3-4 months. This stability factor also allows for Xeomin to have a slow and gentle release of toxins to the treatment area that give clients a forgiving onset, and helps prevent any possible brow drooping.
